Prepaid Insured UPS Shipping Labels Available
RGS Restorations can provide a prepaid, insured UPS shipping label for your firearm upon request.
Simply contact us and request a shipping label. We will prepare the appropriate label and email it to you to print and attach to your securely packaged firearm.
Before You Ship — Quick Checklist
If you are familiar with shipping firearms, this checklist may be all you need. First-time shippers will find detailed packing instructions below.
- Make sure the firearm is completely unloaded. Do not include ammunition.
- Provide your project information. Complete the online form before shipping, or include the completed printable form or a written note in the package.
- Pack the firearm securely. Protect it from movement and damage inside the box.
- Attach your shipping label. If RGS provided the label, print it and securely attach it to the package.
- Follow the instructions provided with your label. Keep the tracking information until delivery is confirmed.
The online form works on phones, tablets, computers, and does not need to be printed.
If you prefer paper, open and print the PDF form, complete it, and include it in the package.

How to Pack Your Firearm
A firearm should be packaged securely enough that it cannot move around inside the box or be damaged during normal handling in transit.
- Make absolutely certain the firearm is unloaded. Do not include ammunition in the package.
- Use a new, sturdy corrugated shipping box. Use a box large enough to properly protect and cushion the firearm and its contents.
- Protect the firearm itself. Wrap or cushion the firearm to protect the wood, metal, sights, and other parts from contact or impact during shipping.
- Prevent movement inside the package. Use sufficient packing material so the firearm cannot shift or move freely inside the box.
- Protect loose or removable parts. If you are including magazines, bolts, grips, stocks, screws, or other separate components, wrap them individually so they cannot contact or damage the firearm.
- Provide your project information. If you submitted the online form, no printed copy is necessary. Otherwise, include the completed Project Information Sheet or a written note with your name, contact information, return address and requested work.
- Seal the package securely. Use quality packing tape on all seams and openings.
Do not place anything on the outside of the package that identifies the contents as a firearm.
What Happens After Your Firearm Arrives
Once your firearm arrives at RGS Restorations, we will personally evaluate its condition and the work you are requesting.
After the evaluation, we will contact you to discuss the project, our recommendations, and any options that may be appropriate. A firm estimate will be provided before work proceeds.
Your firearm will remain safely in our care throughout the process and will be returned to you when the completed work is ready.
