About Paul Lippold and RGS Restorations

Hi, my name is Paul Lippold, and I’ve been at the bench working on firearms for more than 40 years. I started working on guns at an early age in my father’s gun shop, and in 2000 I started RGS Restorations, Inc. Today I work on firearms from all across the country, right here in Oshkosh, WI.

The range of firearms I work on is pretty vast. It can be anything from a really nice factory-style refinish on a cherished 870 to a full historical restoration of an antique Sharps, and everything in between. My main goal is to provide the best metal finish and service possible, while making sure each customer’s requests are carried out to the letter. Sharp lines, crisp factory edges, and the proper depth of lettering and proof marks are a must in any refinishing or restoration.

And of course, what’s most satisfying is knowing my customer is getting back a firearm they’re truly happy with, one that will outlast both of us.
